#30daysofawesome – DAY 25 – Dutch Flower Market and Cheese Shops.

I love flowers. I love to have fresh flowers in the house. I love planting flowers. I love going to gardens. So when Gregg told me Amsterdam had it’s own, huge, flower market that showed off  — among other things — the tulips the country is known for, I had to go check it out.

From the back of the markets. They go on for days!

Added bonus: Across the street from the flower market were many of the cheese shops famous to Holland as well. I love cheese. Like, a lot.

Win. Win.

They sell bulbs of Tulips. But I was afraid to bring them home as you know customs… they’re so afraid you’re going to bring home some sort of disease. Plus, I’m not sure they would really flourish in the dry heat in Colorado.

So instead, I brought home some of the many wooden tulips they had for sale. They’ll go perfectly in the REPLICA Delft vase I bought. Fake deserves fake.

I also found a whole bunch of classic wooden shoes at the markets.

So many flowers!

There was also a good bit of cheese to sample.

See what the other girls sampled on this 25th day of awesome at 30daysofawesome.com

xoxo.
